Arvind Internet, established in 2013, is an exciting tech//fashion hybrid headquartered in Bangalore and close to 350 people strong. The digital retail arm of Arvind Limited is the brainchild of 32-year-old Kulin Lalbhai, the younger son of Arvind Limited chairman Sanjay and a fifth-generation Lalbhai. A graduate of Stanford and Harvard, Kulin is tasked with moving his father’s 80-year-old conglomerate into the digital era.

“There are so many broken customer journeys because online and offline retail don’t talk to each other,” Kulin says. So he went ahead and set up two of India’s first omni-channel fashion shopping experiences, seamlessly integrating clicks with bricks. Arvind Internet kicked off with custom clothing platform CREYATE in 2014, and launched the omnichannel retail platform NNNOW in the summer of 2016.

Mukul Bafana

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Mukul and Kulin met at Harvard Business School, where they conjured up the vision of Arvind Internet. The self-described technogeek worked at powerhouses Google, McKinsey and Bain Capital before co-founding fashion e-commerce site Jabong in 2012. He joined Arvind Internet in 2014 to strategize technology, product, marketing, fashion and finance into one seamless shopping journey. Mik is the ultimate multi-hyphenate. On Day 1 Arvind Internet decided to move all its creative in-house servicing Arvind Brands, NNNOW and Creyate. If our customer shops both online and offline then our content follows him or her across touchpoints to create a contextually rich shopping journey. So whether we’re creating visual design for our app, visual merchandising for stores, fashion shoots for the website, offer emailers or celeb style posts for Instagram we make sure it’s all of the highest quality. To do so we hire a hybrid team of creatives with various fashion backgrounds: including brand, publishing, e-commerce, advertising, digital agency and photography to strategize daily content.
