Adata DashDrive HD710 2.5 inch 1 TB External Hard Disk  (Black)

Hello every one...I ordered this HDD 2day back on Sunday..FKart delivery was fast indeed...
first i was very confused to get this or buffalo 1 TB portable..after a few reviews
I have Opted for this particular HDD because it has 2 good things
*water proof..1meter-30mins..
*shock Proof..Military Standards

..casually i have tested dropping from table top..it was fine..material is good rubber finish, dust attractive..

I've purchased this hard drive from Flip-kart after reading so many positive feedback. But, I didn't find this one a worth full product. It's look and feel is it's only positive side. You will definitely disappointed with the performance. I've read that, it's max speed with USB 2.0 would be 30MB/Sec. But, it is not crossing 16MB/SEC. I've not tested it's performance with USB 3.0 since my laptop doesn't support USB 3.0. My strong recommendation is not to buy this product. Better to go with WD ...

I had just bought a WD My Passport 1TB 2 months back. Had around 750GB of data on that one. One day, it suddenly stopped working and when I put it close to my ear, it was clicking. I am further disappointed by WD because it has been 2 weeks since I gave my HDD for Replacement and they have not even responded to my emails.

and the price is only 4600 , i think this is the best deal ever i have seen. do not wait just buy it with extra features like waterproof and shock proof hdd.

Product is nice. true to its words. definitely a shock and water proof and its rubber finish makes it even more better and durable. product is worth it. just started to working on it. transfer rate is good both in USB 3.0 and 2.0 also. read and install very fast.

Great looking HD. Nice silicone cover with provision for USB cable.
Great speed with USB 3.0 (Filled the whole 1TB in under 3 hours), not so good with USB 2.0
Lightweight, but not so compact as the other products.
Only Con, Case does not feel so sturdy.

Update after a year:
USB 3.0 connector is not so sturdy, almost broken now. Don't know if the warranty covers it. Will update after contacting the service center.
